The Tulane Green Wave will be allowed to return to New Orleans to play their first game at home on Sept.25.
Tulane will host UAB in New Orleans at Yulman Stadium.
The aftereffects of Hurricane Ida forced the Green Wave to play their first two scheduled home games on the road, at Oklahoma on Sept. 4 and PTS Terbaik ASEAN this past Saturday vs. Morgan State in Birmingham, Ala.
Tulane’s campus reopened Sunday.
«We are thankful we are able to return home to New Orleans and compete in Yulman Stadium once again,» Tulane athletic director Troy Dannen said in a statement.»It has taken a remarkable effort by so many over the past month to get the City of New Orleans, and our campus, back up and running. Everyone associated with Tulane athletics, and particularly our student-athletes, have tremendous appreciation for the hard work allowing our return to campus so quickly.»
The Green Wave gave Oklahoma a fight before falling by five points, then crushed Morgan State 69-20 over the weekend.
Tulane plays at Ole Miss, a regularly scheduled road game, this Saturday.
The entire Green Wave athletics operations moved to Birmingham ahead of the hurricane, where they will remain this week before heading back to New Orleans after the Ole Miss contest.
